The outdoors has always played a large role in my life, although grand scale expeditions only started creeping in at the age of 29.
transitioned from indoor fitness to Mother Nature's challenges, leading me to some of my highest highs and greatest achievements.

Here's a timeline of my love affair with self induced suffering...

Walked across the Gobi Desert

Mongolia

57 days

1,800 kilometres

For my first big expedition, me, hubby, and our friend Matty, dragged custom made carts filled with our food, water, and shelter across the barren landscape of Mongolia's Gobi Desert. We travelled from Bulgan in the West to Sainshand in the East.

Climbed Mount Ama Dablam

Nepal

25 days

6,816 metres

Our small, international team, along with three sherpas attempted to climb Lobuche East and Ama Dablam, my first ever mountains. I made it to high camp of Lobuche East before a stomach bug forced me to withdraw from the climb. I came within 180 metres from the summit of Ama Dablam and had to turn around due to fatigue.

Kayaked the Murray River

Australia

56 days

2,200 kilometres

In two kayaks, Luke and I joined his Dad in a fishing tinnie to navigate Australia's longest river. We went from the Hume dam in Victoria all the way to the mouth in Goolwa, South Australia.

Cycled across Australia

Darwin to Port Augusta

35 days

2,700 kilometres

During the pandemic, I cycled from the North of the country to the South on my Surly ECR mountain bike, stopping along the way to see Australia's sacred centre point, Uluru.

Mera Peak, Island Peak, Lobuche East

Nepal

26 days

6,476, 6,165 and 6,119 metres

A small team and I attempted to climb three separate peaks over four weeks. I successfully summited Mera and Island Peak via the Amphu Labtsa Pass. Unfortunately, Lobuche East evaded me again.

Explored Cape York on a solar powered boat

Australia

20 days

600 kilometres

Luke converted an old surf lifesaving boat into a two seat rowing boat, with a back up solar panel powered motor, and I went along for the ride. We began in Townsville and island hopped our way to Cooktown where I decided the crocs were too big and got off.

Climbed Parinacota and climbed/paraglided off Sajama

Bolivia

6 days

6,380 and 6,542 metres

Myself, Luke and our friend Yok climbed Parinacota, a volcano in the Sajama National Park. We carried our paragliders with the intention to fly off the top. The wind had other plans. A few days later we made our way to Sajama high camp, summited the volcano carrying our paragliders, and flew right back down to our hotel 16 kilometres and 2,500 metres below.

Together with Luke and two mates we started down the bottom in Bluff and mapped a route to the north hitting the paragliding hotspots. The paragliders were strapped to the back of our Surly ECR bikes.
